Ridley and Baby Metroid Jack-O-Lantern

Wow this took a long time.... Which is why I ended up finally doing this after Halloween, Oh well I'm still in the Halloween spirit so I'm fine with it. This is definitely my best pumpkin so far. For the first time I tried out carving layers for Ridley's wings. Boy is that a lot of effort. I was gonna try that with his chest too since he has that exoskeleton thing going on there, but after the wings I realized it wouldn't have really worked. Also the baby metroid got messed up, it was after all tiny, but it still is recognizable.

Due to the fact that Ridley was so big on a spherical surface, you can't really get the full effect from one view, so I will upload another picture.

Sigh its too bad this will rot in a few days, I want to keep this forever to be... my nightlight or something I dunno. Now the question is how do I top myself next year?
